Ughelli Kingdom Monarch Confers Orimre r’Ovie Traditional Title On Ojepia

The Ovie of the Great Ughelli Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Evangelist Wilson Ojakovo, Oharisi III, JP, has conferred the prestigious traditional title of Orimre r’Ovie of Ughelli Kingdom upon Olorogun Ojepia Anthony, charging him to use the honor for the benefit of the kingdom and humanity.

In his address, the monarch urged Olorogun Ojepia Anthony to avoid using his new chieftaincy title to oppress others. Instead, he emphasized the importance of bringing meaningful development to Ughelli Kingdom, his community, and beyond.

“The Great Ughelli Kingdom is respected globally, and anyone bestowed with one of its traditional titles is expected to uphold that respect without oppression,” the king stated. “Use your new title to foster development, as an Olorogun in Ughelli Kingdom serves as an ambassador of peace, truthfulness, nobility, and represents the king when necessary.”

His Royal Majesty continued, “Before anyone can receive a chieftaincy title, they undergo a thorough examination and screening to ensure they meet all requirements. You have proven yourself worthy, which is why you stand here today as the Orimre r’Ovie of Ughelli Kingdom.”

Following the conferment, Olorogun Ojepia Anthony expressed his gratitude and commitment. “This is a great responsibility to bring meaningful development to my community, Afiesere, and to Ughelli Kingdom as a whole,” he said. “It is a call to service, and with God’s grace, I will do my best to uphold the confidence placed in me.”

He added, “I am deeply grateful to our traditional ruler and to my family members for their unwavering support. I am committed to serving Ughelli Kingdom and the Afiesere community faithfully.”
